Elk Poaching Incident

Post from WDFW Police:

WDFW Police seek the public’s assistance again this time to help identify a person(s) of interest in the killing and wasting of two cow elk, behind Truck Town Diner in King County.

Officer Moszeter and Sanchez responded to a possible poached cow elk behind Ken’s Truck Town Diner in North Bend the weekend of the 14th. Officer Moszeter located the first cow elk with an arrow sticking out of its guts and nothing taken. While examining this animal he noticed a second elk farther into the field.

The second elk had been partially processed and the quarters and back straps were gone but nothing else was taken leaving the rest to waste. This animal was also shot with archery equipment that matched the first elk. Further scouting of the area turned up a third cow elk also shot with an arrow and left to waste. All three animals appeared to have been shot the night before and arrows were recovered from all three animals but the third arrow and broad head recovered were different from the first two.
