I hope all of you are well and making the best of the current situation with Covid-19. I know my personal life choices have changed, and I am far more aware of my interaction with the world than I have ever been. It is quite a challenge, but one I think we will all meet head on with tenacity and diligence.
Our meetings are on hold until there is a change. All of our partners and stakeholders concur. I want to keep you all updated on the continuing work on projects for the group -
We are actively working on two projects - our Mitigating Elk Damage Poster and our new “elk information” sign at Meadowbrook, in partnership with Si View Parks. Andrea Toomey, former USVEMG president and current member, is heading up these two projects. I have taken and shared with her some great photos lately of elk damage at Elk Meadows on SE Mt Si Road (there were probably 60-70 animals there this morning) that will be incorporated into the poster.
I90 Fence Repair project is obviously on hold, temporarily.
We THANK YOU for your continued loyalty as we face these unprecedented times. Our commitment and responsibility to the elk and Snoqualmie Valley has never been stronger. Stay safe and healthy! Stay home, if you can.
Sharen Marsall, President
